The building is a modern maintenance facility for a large fleet of milk tankers and operates 24/7 during the milk production season. The facility is designed to achieve rapid turnaround maintenance servicing as well as full overhaul capability. A key feature of the buildings success has been the careful layout, coordination and integration of many reticulated services. Running costs have been effectively reduced by incorporating natural light from the 3 sided high level translucent wall cladding and waste oil from the vehicles fuels the heating system for the heated floor slab.
