Rose initially trained and worked as a Registered Nurse in New Zealand, and a Nurse Practitioner in the UK, in the 1990’s. It was while she was nursing that she discovered her love of organisation and project management.  That led her to move into an administration position with a graphic design company in Wellington. Honing her skills in this field she joined us as Business Manager in 2012, taking care of financial management, reporting, HR, staff management and liaison, and marketing.

Retiring in 2018, Rose left DLA and moved from the Wairarapa to Takaka, Golden Bay. Her skills still in high demand, she returned to cover maternity leave for her successor, working remotely from her home office.  Ever since she has remained working part time as an assistant to Honey and enjoying the variety of day to day management tasks as well as special projects.

Rose loves life in the ‘Bay’ with her partner Al, her three cats, three chickens, and a large garden. She has a full workshop and really enjoys small building projects and the gradual renovation of their home.
