Alana Norris

Director, Registered Architect

Qualification: BArch(Hons), BBSc, ANZIA

As our newest Director and leading our Auckland Office, Alana is responsible for business development and works on a range of projects within the Auckland/Waikato region. – from Education & Residential to Commercial & Industrial Architecture. Alana enjoys working closely with contractors on site, to ensure the best solution for the client is realised. Alana is passionate about sustainable design and consistently uses the principles of sustainability to lay the foundation for each individual project.

Alana has been with the company for 15 years. Starting as a graduate architect, then doing her OE, she returned and gained her registration with the support and encouragement of DLA’s Directors. She assumed the Director role in April 2024.

As a Green Star Accredited Professional, she is responsible for building on DLA’s approach to sustainability and enabling easy nationwide
collaboration between offices with Revit BIM360 CAD software.

Alana thrives on the collaborative, family-style values and the jovial approach the DLA team takes to producing quality results for a wide
variety of loyal clients. She’s also proud of the burgeoning growth the
company has in Auckland into education, commercial and industrial work

Outside of work it’s her young family, the gym (mixed in with
some good food and wine) that keep her busy and fulfilled.
